Lucifer= light bringer? bright Morning Star? Shining? Bright? Clear? what is the proper translation?

light bearer.

but lucifer is not in the bible, it is from dante. it appears in the kjv as a translation of halal ben shakar, an actual king who lived at the time. same as the antichrist is expected to be a man, yet satan himself.

oh, and satan does not bear the light, as jesus is the light of the world. he just produces counterfeits and calls them light.Lucifer= light bringer? bright Morning Star? Shining? Bright? Clear? what is the proper translation?
In the Latin Vulgate, Jerome translated ';הילל בן־שׁחר'; (morning star, son of dawn) as ';lucifer qui mane oriebaris'; (morning star that used to rise early).[13] Already, as early as the Christian writers Tertullian and Origen,[11] the whole passage had come to be applied to Satan. Satan began to be referred to as ';Lucifer'; (Morning Star), and finally the word ';Lucifer'; was treated as a proper name. The use of the word ';Lucifer'; in the 1611 King James Version instead of a word such as ';Daystar'; ensured its continued popularity among English speakers.

Most modern English versions (including the NIV, NRSV, NASB, NJB and ESV) render the Hebrew word as ';day star';, ';morning star'; or something similar, and never as ';Lucifer';, a word that in English is now very rarely used in the sense of the original word in Hebrew (Morning Star), though in Latin ';Lucifer'; was a literal translation.Lucifer= light bringer? bright Morning Star? Shining? Bright? Clear? what is the proper translation?
(Isaiah 14:12) 12 “O how you have fallen from heaven, you shining one, son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the earth, you who were disabling the nations. . .

Interesting to see that this perfect angel was looked up to as someone who was favored by God. Sad to say his pride got to him and he wanted the glory God was getting from His creation. Instead of saying it is not mine to have he went after it. That is why we are in the mess we are today because our first parents listened to him instead of God.
Lucifer means The Bringer of Light. The term ';Light'; should be interpreted as knowledge and spiritual growth.
Light bearer.

He appears as light, like the moon, but he has no light of his own.

He only shines the light of the SON, but he is an imitation of the true light.

Alone he is total darkness.
In the book of Revelation Satan is referred to as the son of the morning.
O,Sweetheart ,You are the light bringer ,the Bright morning star,Bright and clear.God bess You child of Love....Aris
I was taught that Lucifer meant ';light bearer';. I think it comes from the Latin root ';lux'; meaning ';light';, but I could be mistaken.
Lucifer means light bearer.
Light bearer, is the correct translation.
He is the devil, satan.
no longer applies...he is now wicked..moot point
