How many stars are visibile on a clear, dark night with the naked eye alone?

It is estimated that the unaided human eye, at a dark location under clear skies, can see down to magnitude 6.5.

There are about 6000 stars of that magnitude in our skies.

Half would be visible in the northern hemisphere, half in the souther.

Half those wouldn't be visible since they would be drowned out by daylight.

So if you stayed up all night (sunset to sunrise) you would see about 1500 stars in total (give or take a few). How many stars are visibile on a clear, dark night with the naked eye alone?
Thousands upon thousandsHow many stars are visibile on a clear, dark night with the naked eye alone?
that coudnt be counted plus it depends where you are
1,500 - 2,000
